Automatic De-ashing
System :
The
solid refractory hearth of the
incinerator is so designed as to
permit forward/reverse movements at
the same pre-determined intervals
i.e., after completion of the
combustion process. The ash that is
collected in the chamber is then
transferred to a rotary feeder that
is mounted below the hearth that,
in turn, is connected to a screw
conveyor. The ash is transferred
from the rotary feeder to the screw
conveyor that transfers the
collected ash to an ash bin at the
end of the conveyor. The rotary
feeder ensures only small amounts of high
temperature ash are collected and dropped
into the screw conveyor every time so
that the system is not subjected to very
high temperatures with large quantity of
ash.
