Applications: |
|
|
LRD incineration
system is designed to handle all types of
waste from Type 0 to Type 5. It is used
for/in:
-
All types of
incinerable hazardous waste.
-
Large Bio-Medical
Waste Common Treatment Facilities.
-
Municipalities for
garbage disposal and electricity
generation.
Available in
capacities ranging from 50 kg/hr to 1000
kg/hr.
The design features
are:
Pollution-free
operation |
|
Low air and gas
velocities within the primary chamber
together with complete second stage
combustion ensure that emissions are
minimal. The LRD range of incinerators
are used successfully in many parts of
the world for burning hospital, general,
industrial, security and institutional
wastes.
The system is modular and versatile
operating as a distinctly efficient
two-stage combustor. In the first stage
chamber, thermal decomposition of waste
occurs in an oxygen-starved atmosphere
and the volatile gases driven off pass to
the second stage chamber where they are
mixed with additional air and burnt at
800/1200°C. The combustible char left in
the primary chamber is slowly oxidised to
ash.
The second stage chamber is designed to
maximise residence time for gas phase
combustion whilst minimising "support
fuel" consumption. An internal venturi
section not only ensures high turbulence
for final burn-out but also induces
natural air in proportion to the mass
flow of the gas. The advantage of this
simple feature is that semi-automatic air
regulation is provided in the final stage
of combustion with no electrical or
mechanical controls. Secondary burning is
continuous with or without fuel support
depending on furnace conditions.
Automatic loading |
|
Hydraulically operated
ram loading systems designed for ease of
operation and maximum operator safety
ensure that the plant remains in a
controlled-air mode during the charging
period by reducing ingress of
uncontrolled air with minimum furnace
disturbance. The operator simply places
waste in the reception hopper, closes the
lid and presses the start button. The
automatic charging cycle does the rest,
protecting the operator fully from
potential exploding objects in the waste
and from exposure to hot furnace
temperature. A solid state programmable
controller enables the charging cycle to
be tailored for individual customer
requirements and allows for future
adjustments if waste conditions change.
